The Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Systems prepares students for careers in what is a substantial niche in information technology: designing and programming software systems that support and service the world's business operations. This intensive program is designed for the challenging new opportunities provided by the increasing integration of information processing technologies. The program focuses on principles of computer programming, operating systems, systems analysis and design, database management and telecommunications. Upper division coursework includes elective studies in artificial intelligence and robotics. A senior project serves as the capstone to four years of study, integrating intellectual, critical, analytic, organizational, written and oral communication skills from across the curriculum.
