The Associate in Applied Science degree (A.A.S.) prepares students for careers in the information technology field as programmers, programmer/analysts, database specialists, user interface developers, technical support personnel, or positions in quality assurance, software consulting, and computer-related sales support. The curriculum emphasizes extensive hands-on lab assignments developing complex real world applications using the hardware and software that have become standard in the industry for the design and implementation of large business information systems. Graduates of this program may continue their education toward the Bachelor of Technology degree in this discipline.
